Center-band adhesive: edges stay free

Iconex's Center range applies adhesive only in a central band, leaving both edges of the label adhesive-free. This isn't a decorative pattern but a solution to a specific problem: a label with free edges is easy to grasp with your fingertips and peel off in a second, without fingernails or effort.

This is crucial wherever the end customer needs to remove the label themselves: a delivery bag seal that must be opened without tearing the packaging, temporary marking on a reusable box, or a personalization label to remove before consumption. It's also an advantage in the kitchen, where people handle items while wearing gloves.

A second benefit: less adhesive overall, which means less residue on the printer's cutter and platen roller, and a mechanism that stays clean longer.

The trade-off to be aware of: the free edges may curl up on an uneven surface or in a very humid environment. For full-surface adhesion, choose the Diamond or X2 Full Coverage range.

Why linerless

Eco-friendly: no glassine backing, so no non-recyclable liner waste.
Longer run time: more usable meters and fewer roll changes for the same diameter.
Release coating: the printable side is treated to prevent the roll from sticking to itself.
